Quick Guide: How to Install Renthal Handlebars on Your Motocross Bike

Installing Renthal handlebars on your motocross bike is a relatively simple operation that can make a big difference in the performance of your bike. First, make sure you have all the necessary tools at hand, and you can follow the step-by-step instructions below:

Step 1 :Remove existing controls and handlebars from the motorbike

Following the manufacturer’s instructions, remove the existing handlebar and controls from the motorbike.

Step 2 :Fit Throttle, Brake, Clutch and Switches on Renthal handlebars

In reverse order, take the parts and reassemble them on the Twinwall®. At this point, the handlebar control parts must not be fully tightened.

Step 3: Place the Twinwall® in the handlebar mounts and lightly tighten the fasteners.

Position the Twinwall® in the position desired by the pilot and hold it in place.

Step 4 :Tighten handlebar mounts (Do not exceed 18 Nm)

Holding the Twinwall® in place, apply the tightening torque recommended by the manufacturer of the handlebar mounts, for those with a torque spanner we recommend not exceeding 18 Nm.

Step 5 :Position and tighten the controls according to the pilot’s preference

Move the controls and switches along the handlebar and position them in the rider’s preferred position, before tightening to the correct torque.

Step 6 :Mount Renthal® bumpers on handlebars

With the handlebar configured, simply insert the cover between the mounting section and the holder, slide the foam along the holder and tighten the Velcro. Make sure the text faces outwards to complete the professional look.
