Alpinestars was founded back in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo in the province of Trevino,Veneto.

The company initially produced trekking and mountaineering boots, and soon afterwards began the production of motocross boots. In the 1990s Alpinestars started to produce a wide range of motorbike products, such as racing suits, and over the years also clothing and protectors for the speedway sector, soon becoming a leader in all sectors.

Today it has offices all over the world, but the operational headquarters remain in northern Italy.

The company is now led by Sante’s son, Gabriele Mazzarolo. Alpinestars is now a global brand, developing technical products for Moto GP racing such as leather suits, boots, gloves and protectors worn by many World Champions as well as in Formula 1 and Indy Car.
